Our Team

In a Presbyterian church, the minister - called the teaching elder - shares the spiritual oversight of the congregation with a team of elders.  And every member of the congregation is also involved in some work of service.  (Ephesians 4:12).

Currently we have five elders: Malcolm Pass, Chris Munn, David McKinney, Ian Barter and Shane Whitehouse.

These are the key people in our ministry team:

Rev Keith Boulden

Keith is our minister and the teaching elder. He joined us in 2009 after spending 8 years on the North Coast of NSW.   He’s married to Melissa and they have 3 children.  As well as loving Christ he enjoys soccer and bike riding.

Oscar White

Oscar and his wife Jasmine joined Blacktown East in 2023. Oscar works part time with us helping us to better connect with our local community and share the hope of Jesus with others. He spends the rest of his week working as a chaplain in one of the local primary schools. Outside of that, Oscar is a sports nut and has a huge collection of nerdy European boardgames.

Malcolm Pass

Malcolm is one of the elders and our session clerk.  He facilitates much of the administration of the church. He is married to Sylvia and they have 2 adult children. He enjoys riding his bike, playing cricket, reading and spending time with Sylvia.

Sylvia Pass

Sylvia coordinates our Playtime. She is married to Malcolm and they have 2 adult children. She’s often found scrounging at garage sales, or in the kitchen cooking up a storm.
