Blacktown East Presbyterian
Church
Our Team
In a Presbyterian church, the minister - called the teaching elder - shares the spiritual oversight of the congregation with a team of elders. And every member of the congregation is also involved in some work of service. (Ephesians 4:12).
Currently we have four elders: Malcolm Pass, David McKinney, Ian Barter and Shane Whitehouse.
These are the key people in our ministry team:
Rev Keith Boulden
Keith is our minister and teaching elder. He has been with us since 2009 and is married to Melissa. They have 3 adult children. As well as being keen to tell people about Jesus and teach God's word, he enjoys a good bike ride, now that his soccer playing days are over.

Oscar White
Oscar and his wife Jasmine joined Blacktown East in 2023. Oscar works part time with us helping us to better connect with our local community and share the hope of Jesus with others. He spends the rest of his week completing his theological studies at Christ College. Outside of that, Oscar is a sports nut and has a huge collection of nerdy European boardgames.
Malcolm Pass
Malcolm is one of the elders and our session clerk. He facilitates much of the administration of the church. He is married to Sylvia and they have been blessed with 4 grandchildren, who they try to see as much as possible. Malcolm enjoys bike riding, reading, teaching Scripture with Sylvia and seeking to encourage people to grow in their love for Jesus.
Sylvia Pass
Sylvia, together with Keith, coordinates our Playtime. She is married to Malcolm. Their family has expanded to include two daughters-in-law and now four grand babies. She's always looking to share a pot of tea, a wee smackerel of something fresh from her oven and time in God's word.
